Chamber Grand Opening of the Chamber Boutique on March 17th!

The Chamber Connection: Ready-Set- Go! One Year and Counting!

By T. Myers

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

It has been a year since we had the Grand Opening at our new Chamber Offices. We celebrated the move with a St. Patrick’s Day party including corn beef and other Irish treats. We did the coronation of the Miss Frontier Days that afternoon and we had a great time with our many guests.

This year we will reprise the St. Paddy’s party and kick-off the Local La Pine Products Boutique with a special celebration at 3-6 PM right inside the Chamber. The KNCP radio station, Frontier Days and Eagle Newspaper will also be here to answer questions and play Irish music, eat some traditional foods and enjoy being Irish for the day!

Let’s talk about the new Local La Pine Products Boutique!

The Chamber has been asked for years where to get mementos from tourists and we knew that if we had things for sale- (On a trip to PDX last year we saw several chambers that were successfully doing just that!) So we have been quietly putting out the word to local entrepreneurs to stop by and consider consigning their wares to the Chamber Boutique! A craftsman or artisan pays the Chamber a 15% fee to handle the sales and help with displaying the merchandise. We have started to add in different displays and right now there are soaps, leather bags, lovely wood/pine products, jams, jellies, local authors and plans for more products to come! Of course we will still offer our La pine Tee-Shirts and Frontier Days has tees, caps and sweatshirts for sale, too!

The Chamber feels that it is important to feature the work of some of the members who work out of their homes and this is the right platform for our great, Made in La Pine products!

You are invited to help the artisans celebrate the Grand Opening of the Chamber Boutique on Tuesday afternoon. Erin go Braugh and come to the party!
